sclwn is a Russian indie and experimental hip-hop trio comprised of Krasnoyarsk’s underground rapper and poet sclwn (one of the founders of hool-a-hop, an independent Russian record label) and two young talented musicians Damscray (producing) and Ilz (piano) from Orenburg. The style they have created is a unique psychedelic fusion of the depressive lo-fi electronica and moody trip-hop music intertwining with a classical-like masterly piano parts and an unceasing flow of the dark and abstract Russian lyrics. Their sound is often linked with a suicidal, post-apocalyptic cyberpunk atmosphere.
