Born just outside of Chicago, Illinois, Emi was raised musically. Moving around a lot during her teen years, music was the constant while the scenery continued to change from Michigan to Illinois to Texas to Boston to England... Her Mom and Dad are both song-writers and sang with her from a young age. She learned how to harmonize when her Mom taught her how using The Beatles' "Rubber Soul" as a guide.
