Lotus Thief is an experimental black metal (self titled "text metal") band from San Francisco. All songs are based on ancient texts and bringing to light the epic stories and wisdom from centuries long gone. Members are Bezaelith (The Night Falls, Botanist) and Otrebor (Botanist, Ophidian Forest). Lotus Thief Made its debut on Botanist's "Doom in Bloom" Allies disk. They anticipate the debut full length album to be complete in 2013. It will be based on Lucretius' "De Rerum Natura".
