The Sissies were a pop-punk trio from Bloomington, Indiana. The group started when singer-guitarist Ali Haimson met Hannah Jones and Chris Johntson (AKA, Chris Clavin) of Operation: Cliff Clavin and talked of starting a band. At the end of that year, Ali dropped out of college and moved to Bloomington, and The Sissies were born. After being together for only a few weeks, the group recorded their first album, Geography, which was released on Valentine's Day 1999. Chris left the band, and drummer Jrd took his place.
