In 1986 the multilingual rap artist TOONY was born in the upper Silesian province of Kedzierzyn-Kozle in Poland. Three years later his family decided to escape from the repressing regime of Eastern Europe to find a new home in Germany, more precise in the city of Düsseldorf, a city where the difference between poverty and poshiness is huge like nowhere else in Germany. Growing up in the paradox between the idyllic scenes of the Rhine River and the fraught ambient of the underclass neighbourhoods one day TOONY happened to grab a CD with some beats produced by friend.
