In 1997, Turkish jazz musicians Sarp Maden, Volkan Oktem and Caglayan Yildiz joined forces to form a fusion jazz band, Trio Mrio. Following the release of their self titled-debut, Caglayan Yildiz moved to the Netherlands and was replaced by another talented musician, Alp Ersonmez. Eventually in 2003, young musician Genco Ari was the last piece to complete the musical puzzle. As Trio Mrio extended into Quartet Muartet, the bands celebration for their new sound was of course a new album.
