Codex:Siam formed in 2002 in Berlin. Initially being influenced by folk punk like early Subway to Sally or the Inchtabokatables, elements of alternative rock and metal were also added. Melodic vocals, often heavy guitars as well as violin and cello melodies made up a unique sound.
The EP "Stadthimmel" was released in 2003.
In 2005 the band split.
