Nedžad Salković was born in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina on 1. june 1940. One of the most popular interpretator of bosnian tradicional music, sevdalinka. Yet from his early days, sevdalinka started to be, like he used to say "my ahbab" in rough translation, "my best friend".
Considering standing of many critics, he is one of the best interpretators of philosophy of bosnian sevdalinka. In his early days, with his 18 years of age, he started to sing, in radio Tuzle, introducing himself with a song "Omer beže".
