Kelly Chen (Cantonese: Chen Wai-Lam / 陳慧琳) is a popular singer from Hong Kong. Born in Hong Kong on 13 Sep 1973, Kelly grew up with an elder sister and younger brother to support her. She went to school at a young age in Hong Kong before her father transferred her to Japan to "pick up Japanese". Having attended high school at Japan's Kobe Canadian Academy, Kelly learned a good deal of Japanese. After she was done with high school, Kelly continued her education in the United States, specifically at the Parsons School of Design in New York City, specializing in Graphic Design[1].
