Gurban Abbasli was born in one the ancient cities of Azerbaijan called Sheki. During his childhood one can feel his deep sense of music and interest to it, so that he had strongly involved himself to music. When he was only 9 years old he began to play on tar, the oldest folk instrument of Azerbaijan,& got music education at Shaki Music School # 2. While receiving a classic musical education, he was interested to world music and listening to an electronic music.
