Roadside Poppies are an indie pop band based in Copenhagen (DK) with members in Cambridge, Manchester (UK) and Melbourne (AUS). Roadside Poppies were established in Cambridge, UK in 2005 by multi-instrumentalist and singer Matloob Qureshi as a one-man 'pop with tuneless melodies' project, but the project quickly grew into a full band, with two songwriters, two lead singers and skillful keyboard- and guitar players. The indie pop ensemble somehow managed to stray a small distance off the grassy verge of tunelessness and into a field of catchy and bass-driven guitar pop songs.
