Karamasov was an Anglo-German four piece art-rock band that formed in London, United Kingdom, late 1997. Drawing on influences of kroutrock, jazz and minimal techno, Karamasov's compliment of electronics, samples and ancient analogue’s is added by warmth from the less predictable addition of live instruments, such as cello and a knack for improvisation, augmented in no small part by the classically trained percussionist Berit Immig, culminated in the release of their first album On Arrival, released on ‘Satellite Records’ in 1998.
