mitre began in a cramped crawlspace in Chicago's Rogers Park neighborhood in the fall of 2000. Primarily a recording project, mitre has appeared, at various points in time, in a converted church; above a Chinese restaurant; at a bowling alley; on the floor of a video store; and at a bar in northern New Mexico.
