The group was formed in 1992 by DJs KløFar AOK and Ghetto Svend. Under the name Cool & Casual they produced hip-hop but needed a rapper for the band. They got in contact with rapper and producer BoZZ (later known as Kong Winther, today H19ng Winther) with the intend of making music in English. BoZZ, however, was more interested in rapping in Danish, and so they created the group Beat Around The Bush.
