Founded in Malmo, Sweden in 2005, the Morning Paper is primarily the solo project of David Kyhlberg and features a rotating cast of characters including Ida Bergstrom (of the Bridal Shop) and Karl Daniel Tornqvist. The Morning Paper's first release, a split single released by Club AC30 in 2005, revealed a band whose sound, heavily embroidered with epic synth washes and shy, reverb-kissed vocals, nodded to likeminded Scandinavians such as Celestial and the Radio Dept.
