Son of a preacher man, Oudtshoorn born, Jakkie Louw started entertaining friends and family by playing guitar at local barbecues and party's. In 1996 Jakkie wrote his big hit "Rambo die polisiehond”. Jakkie got his B-com degree at Stellenbosch University and at the same time started playing in local in and around Stellenbosch. In 2003 Jakkie approached Pretoria pub Maloneys and started playing there on thursday nights, and became a smash hit under the student community of Pretoria. In 2005 Jakkie released his hit CD "Alles in een glas".
