The Dubdadda, or Jono as he is known throughout the reggae world, is one of the mainstays of the UK reggae scene. Hailing from Manchester he was a founder member of the renowned Community Charge – the best homegrown reggae talent in the UK in their era. After the demise of this band the Dubdadda was instrumental in forming Nucleus Roots alongside other former members of the Community Charge line-up.
The sound of the nucleus has been heard all over Europe and they are still currently one of the UK’s top ranking reggae ensembles – particularly when the Dubdadda sits in with them on a session.
