His mother, Sonya, an amazing vocalist who co owns Best of Both Worlds Vocal Studio with Alisa Claridy, also an amazing vocalist, made him sing at one of her recitals, even though he was reluctant too. It was at that moment when Josh realized he had a gift for performing.
